But, don’t forget what the medical world was focused on in the future (Idiocracy).

They were focused on conquering hair loss and prolonging erections.

Traditional Thai Medicine Effective Against Diabetes

It’s encouraging to read when modern science confirms the effectiveness of a traditional medicine.

Senna siamea, also known as Siamese cassia, has been used as an antidiabetic drug since antiquity.

From the research paper:

“S. siamea components demonstrated effects against insulin resistance. The chemical structure displayed identical biological activity to that of the compounds (resveratrol, piceatannol, dihydropiceatannol, chrysophanol, and emodin.)

Therefore, S. siamea wood extract and their components are potential therapeutic options in the treatment of diabetes.”

If this ancient remedy helps you, thank a Thai medicine man… or his wife.

Cassia wood extract is available worldwide from Herbs First.

If Navajo or Hawaiian languages aren’t challenging enough to test your linguistic mettle, Duolingo, the language learning game has also added KLINGON and High Valyrian.

Why bother with fictional languages? What better way to prepare for a Space Force career in Xenolinguistics?

(Xenolinguistics is defined in science fiction as the study of alien languages.)

Here’s the bar scene from the 2009 Star Trek movie where Uhura and Kirk talk Xenolinguistics:

For a crash course in Klingon, here are 18 Klingon Phrases That’ll Save Your Life One Day

You never know…

In the movie, Paul, check out how Graham uses the Klingon language in an attempt at secret communication with his pal, Clive.

For those with a talented tongue, who are ready to dive into Klingon, try Duolingo. It’s a fun way to learn Klingon sounds, words and phrases.

You may have guessed by now that the title of this post was written in Klingon, but what does it mean?

A New Blog for Caturday

Flying Spider Monkey is chillin’.

It’s Caturday. I’m chillin’, creating a new blog, because damn.

Censorship of free speech in the social media realm has gotten out of hand. It quickly escalated once Twitter crossed the rubicon and permanently suspended the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.

Then came Microsoft’s deplatforming of the mainly conservative site, Parler. Note to self: NEVER rely on a cloud server for your critical business needs. You didn’t build that cloud.

The self-served social media site, Gab, hasn’t faired much better. Its exponential growth has been self-limiting. They’re up as often as down as of this post.

With Instagram (a Facebook company) threatening permanent suspension if they read something in YOUR PRIVATE MESSAGES that they arbitrarily don’t like, it’s no wonder people are fleeing Big Tech for Small Tech and encrypted messaging… with caveats.

Forget Signal. It’s had a backdoor to your Encrypted Messages from day one. Guess which agencies have your messages. Do you trust their use of scaler technology? Read their fine print. Yes, they really use it. Sadly, even Telegram has has begun to audit its platform against “hate speech”. What’s their next target? By the way, Amazon cloud services is in court with Telegram, attempting to deplatform them like Parler, as I write. Fingers crossed.

So, what’s left? Your last and best bet for encrypted free speech remains MEGA, KimDotCom’s service out of New Zealand. If you’re not there already, join. Here’s my sign up link:!ObxUXK7K
(MEGA gives you 50G of free storage space. I keep my 300+G library there for easy sharing. If interested, chat with me there.)

Here on covertress blog, I’ll be sharing lots of information I find useful, mostly free E-books, documents, apps and services that I like. Occasionally, you’ll find on OpEd, like this one. Sometimes I’ll post a recipe or a photo of my cats. My tastes are eclectic. I hope you enjoy reading.

We live in exciting times. No one knows which social media platform will be firmly seated when the music stops. Until then, I’ll see you on Telegram (in my private group) and on MEGA. I’m “covertress” on both.

Happy Caturday!
